GULF OF ADAN (March 15, 2021) Sailors assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58) fire M9 pistols during a live-fire weapons qualification shoot in the Gulf of Aden. Laboon is supporting the Charles de Gaulle Carrier Strike Group while deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations and conducting naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
