IWAKUNI, Japan (March 11, 2021) Sgt. Colton Manning, assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, is loading the MK30 Dump with landfill material to transport away from the road. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4 and MWSS 171 are conducting the Landfill Cap and Closure Project to mitigate airstrikes on U.S. and Japanese aircraft. NMCB-4 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and the United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations.
