WASHINGTON (Feb. 19, 2021) On temporary display at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy, an executive desk designed and built by U.S. Navy Seabees for the Vice President of the United States made from wood and copper reclaimed from USS Constitution, awaits delivery to the White House. The desk project was initiated to deliver a desk of comparable, provenance, history, and heritage as the President's HMS Resolute Desk. Naval History and Heritage Command, located at the Washington Navy Yard, is responsible for the preservation, analysis, and dissemination of U.S. naval history and heritage.
