Lemelin, USS Constitution, Boston and Steelworker 2nd Class Elijohana Cole, Public Works Dept., Washington D.C. pose for a photo with an executive desk they designed and built for the Secretary of the Navy of wood and copper reclaimed from USS Constitution as well as parts from the former USS Chesapeake, USS Constellation, USS Texas, USS New Jersey and USS Arizona. The desk project was initiated to deliver a desk of comparable, provenance, history, and heritage as the President�s HMS Resolute Desk. Naval History and Heritage Command, located at the Washington Navy Yard, is responsible for the preservation, analysis, and dissemination of U.S. naval history and heritage.
