OLAVSVERB, Norway (Feb. 24, 2021) A Dutch Royal Marine guides a U.S. Marine Corps assault amphibious vehicles (AAV) with Marine Rotational Force Europe 21.1 (MRF-E), Marine Forces Europe and Africa, in Olavsvern, Norway, Feb. 24, 2021. U.S. Marines and Dutch Royal Marines participated in an integrated training event involving the transportation of AAVs aboard a landing craft, utility boat. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners.
