ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 19, 2020) The guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58) sails in the Arabian Gulf during Eastern Defender 20. Eastern Defender 20 is the capstone in a series of bilateral maritime security exercises between the Qatar Armed Forces and U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, conducted to enhance interoperability and war-fighting readiness, fortify military-to-military relationships and advance operational capabilities of all participating units.
