SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 9, 2021) A Sailor performs a final check on an E-2C Hawkeye from the “Sun Kings” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 116 on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz and Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Groups are conducting dual carrier operations in the Indo-Pacific in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
