YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 17, 2020) Offshore crane equipment and a temporary load test platform can be seen in the harbor of Truman Bay as part of the $128 million military construction Pier 5 project at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The contractor broke ground in August 2020 and the new pier is estimated to be completed by September 2022. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-operating naval forces, tenant commands, thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
