Brian Fort, Commander, Navy Region Japan, cut a ceremonial ribbon celebrating the opening of the new Gridley Child Development Center onboard CFAY. The new $12 million facility will be able to accommodate more than 140 children onboard the installation. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
