YOKUSKA, Japan (Nov. 16, 2020) Capt. Tim DeWitt, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems (NAVFAC) Command Far East commander, virtually presents Lt. Cmdr. Christian Auger the NAVFAC Far East Military Engineer of the Year Award for Fiscal Year 2021. The virtual award ceremony employs Microsoft Teams as DeWitt is located in Yokosuka, Japan, while Auger is located in Sasebo, Japan. NAVFAC is the Systems Command that delivers and maintains quality, sustainable facilities, acquires and manages capabilities for the Navy's expeditionary combat forces, provides contingency engineering response, and enables energy security and environmental stewardship.
