PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 6, 2020) Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) wait for an MH-60R Sea Hawk assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49 to take off from the flight deck. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
