PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 24, 2020) Engineman 2nd Class Richard Hartford, from Boston, and deployed with the maritime expeditionary security forces of Task Force 75, mans a .50-caliber machine gun aboard a Mark VI patrol boat while transiting the Philippine Sea. The maritime security forces integrated with Marines from 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion and Sailors from the task force's Expeditionary Mine Countermeasures (ExMCM) Company to conduct launch and recovery operations of the MK 18 Mod 2 unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) from the patrol boat to collect survey data.
