INDIAN OCEAN (Nov. 3, 2020) An Indian navy Chetak helicopter from the Indian navy Rajput-class guided-missile destroyer INS Ranjivay (D 55) lands on the flight deck aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) during cross deck flight operations as part of exercise Malabar 2020. Malabar is an India-led multinational exercise designed to enhance cooperation between Indian navy, Royal Australian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and U.S. maritime forces. Australian, Indian, Japanese and American maritime forces routinely operate together in the Indo-Pacific, fostering a cooperative approach toward regional security and stability.
