PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 5, 2020) U.S. Navy Landing Craft, Air Cushion 65, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5, maneuvers into the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) while underway. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
