Bruce Gillingham receives his annual flu immunization from Hospitalman Macie Jones at Walter Reed National Medical Center, Oct. 28, 2020. Receiving the flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19, however, flu vaccination has been shown to reduce the risk of illness and hospitalization from an influenza infection.
