PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 9, 2020) A Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) completes an Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray qualification course aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). After being sprayed, Marines had to overcome a series of obstacles in order to complete the course. America, flagship of America Expeditionary Strike Group 7, along with the 31st MEU, is operating in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
