SILVERDALE, Wash. (Sept. 25, 2020) Electronics Mechanic Jill Wokowsky and Electronics Apprentice Kirsten Steffens, in the Weapons Repair Department (Code 35A) at Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB), act as safety watches while a periscope is raised into a test tower at TRFB. Periscopes are placed into a shipboard simulator to verify optical and mechanical readiness before installation onto Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBNs).
