CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Oct. 7, 2020) Retired Navy Capt. and Pearl Harbor Survivor Bob Batterson speaks to Sailors and staff of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Corpus Christi ahead of the command's celebration of the 245th birthday of the United States Navy. During the event, Batterson shared his experience of the day of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and offered advice and words of encouragement from his experiences through 34 years of Naval service. Since 1775, through today, American Sailors have stood the watch with honor, courage, and commitment. Armed with honor, courage, and commitment, "The Greatest Generation" achieved victory at sea in World War II.
