ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 2, 2020) Seaman Kweashad Brooksclark signals to the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195) as it comes alongside the guided-missile destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81) for a replenishment-at-sea in the Arabian Gulf. Winston S. Churchill is deployed to U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
