SIERRA NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2020) U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Cason Pope assigned to the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, works with National Interagency Fire Center personnel to fill a water tank known as a "Pumpkin Tank" near the Sierra National Forest, Calif., Sep. 30, 2020. Approximately 250 Marines from 7th ESB are helping fight the Creek Fire in Central California. Through U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the National Interagency Fire Center to respond quickly and effectively to protect people, property, and lands.
