BAUCAU, Timor-Leste (Sept. 24, 2020) Builder Constructionman Colby Leche, from Fishersville, Va., Builder Constructionman Jose Iniesta, from San Antonio, and Steelworker 2nd Class Cameron Fields, from Lake Tahoe, Nev., assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Detail Timor-Leste, use mag floats to smooth freshly-placed concrete for the construction of the Vila Nova three-room school house. NMCB-3 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection. The battalion stands ready to complete assigned tasking, support humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and major combat operations throughout the area of responsibility.
