YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 18, 2020) Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Tony Walker, from Citronelle, Alabama, uses a sound-powered phone to contact damage control central during a main space fire drill aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). By participating in main space fire drills, Sailors improve their damage control knowledge and skills on fighting casualties within main engineering spaces, such as the engine room. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
