KIN RED, Okinawa (Sept. 24, 2020) The U.S. Army Vessel Harpers Ferry (LCU-2022) with 10th Support Group, arrives at Kin Red for a joint logistics training exercise with 9th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG) on Kin Red, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 24, 2020. During the exercise, Combat Logistics Regiment 3 and 9th ESB conducted Okinawa-based logistics training to hone critical capabilities and practice dispersed command and control while providing support to III Marine Expeditionary Force units throughout Okinawa. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force�s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
