SIERRA NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2020) U.S. Army Maj. Gen. David P. Glaser, deputy commanding general of operations, United States Army North (Fifth Army) and senior commander, Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, visits U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assisting National Interagency Fire Center personnel with wildland fire fighting efforts near the Sierra National Forest, Calif., Sep. 23, 2020. Approximately 250 Marines from 7th ESB are going to help fight the Creek Fire in Central California. Through U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the National Interagency Fire Center to respond quickly and effectively to protect people, property, and lands.
