ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 16, 2020) Sailors assigned to Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Sioux City (LCS 11) conduct a search and rescue exercise in a rigid-hull inflatable boat. Sioux City is deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility to support Joint Interagency Task Force South's mission, which includes counter illicit drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean.
