PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2020) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Kayla Collins, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, takes the Navywide advancement examination, cycle 248, at Naval Base Ventura County, California. The advancement examinations are currently being administered with a tailored approach, per NAVADMIN 222/20, to ensure the safety of Seabees and Sailors during the COVID-9 outbreak. The Seabees with NMCB-5 are homeported in Port Hueneme, California, training for an upcoming deployment in the Indo-Pacific region to support U.S. and partner nations.
