SAN DIEGO (Sept. 8, 2020) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3 fills a bucket of water during firefighting efforts with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) and their unified cooperators, the U.S. Forest Service, to combat the Valley Fire in San Diego County. The support follows a formal request made by CALFIRE in accordance with a standing memorandum of agreement between CALFIRE, U.S. Third Fleet, Naval Air Forces Pacific, and Navy Region Southwest.
