PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 26, 2020) Baldur, a military working dog with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), holds a Marine during bite work training aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The 31st MEU’s military working dogs train every day on ship in order to maintain their skills in tracking, explosives detection, and combatant detainee operations. America, flagship of America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), 31st MEU team, is operating in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
