PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 26, 2020) MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopters assigned to the "Archangels" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 Detachment 6 prepare to launch from the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) to conduct a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) exercise with Marines of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). America, flagship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, assigned to Amphibious Squadron Eleven, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
