OKINAWA, Japan (Aug. 20, 2020) Marines with Bridge Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), guide a completed Improved Ribbon Bridge (IRB) at Naha Military Port, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 20, 2020. IRBs provide a wet-gap crossing capability either as a floating bridge or as a multi-bay raft for tracked and wheeled combat tactical vehicles. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force�s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
