ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 22, 2020) The guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60) approaches the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE-9), while conducting a replenishment-at-sea with the guided-missile destroyer USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114), Aug. 22, 2020. Paul Hamilton is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
