Seth Powell, the ship�s damage control assistant gives a red cover a member of the first at-sea fire party, or �flying squad� of the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7) during a ceremony in the hangar bay. The flying squad is made up of Sailors from a variety of rates and are the first responders in the event of a damage control casualty.
