Byrd (T-AKE 4) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) in the Gulf of Aden, Dec. 25, 2015. The RAS was conducted to resupply the amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) with fuel, food, and mail for Sailors and Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked aboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and deployed in support of maritime security operations in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
