151118-N-NV908-147 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 18, 2015) Bombs dropped by an F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the Checkmates of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, explode in the water during an air power demonstration as part of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt's (CVN 71) tiger cruise. Tiger cruises allow crew members to bring family and friends aboard to experience shipboard life. Theodore Roosevelt is operating in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations as part of a worldwide deployment en route to its new homeport in San Diego to complete a three-carrier homeport shift.
