McCarthy, a student at U.S. Naval War College (NWC), provides remarks to students, staff, faculty and guests during a graduation ceremony at NWC in Newport, Rhode Island. During the ceremony, McCarthy was recognized as the NWC president’s honor graduate for the College of Naval Warfare (CNW) for her high standards of academic performance, NWC activities, participation in civic and community service, and promotion of military services in the public interest.
