(Nov. 11, 2015) Sailors from Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Miami, service members from the U.S. Coast Guard, Army and Marine Corps in South Florida, and volunteers from the Miami Heat, help rehab two homes for a Navy and Army veteran in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami. NRD Miami Commanding Officer Nathan King, along with 12 Sailors from various stations on the East Coast spent two days, including Veteran's day volunteering their skills and time to make the homes more habitable for the occupants. Over the course of both days, the group completed several thousands of dollars of work. The event was organized by the Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade through its partnership with the Miami Heat's Home Strong program.
