150902-N-YM720-170 SANTA RITA, Guam (Sept. 2, 2015) Officers, chief petty officers, chief selectees and first class petty officers assigned to the submarine tenders USS Frank Cable (AS 40) and USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), run in formation during a WWII heritage run on Naval Base Guam, September 2. The run, part of CPO-365, gave Sailors the opportunity to learn about the battle to retake Guam from Japanese control during WW II’s Pacific campaign and is one of several events bringing together members from the wardroom, chief’s mess and first classes in order to build camaraderie and develop enhanced team work. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support to submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
