150818-N-ZZ999-002 BARKING SANDS, Hawaii (Aug. 18, 2015) Chief Construction Mechanic Timothy Plummer, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, inspects a section of buried subsea cable for damage, which may require new encasement and stabilization. UCT-2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is performing subsea cable maintenance at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. CDDC is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
