Crystal Jones, a laboratory officer from Brisbane, Australia, and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Daniel Huffman, from Grand Rapids, Mich., assemble blood dyglecerolization kits aboard the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) during Pacific Partnership 2015. Deglycerolization is the process of defrosting and preparing blood for use in medical procedures. Mercy is underway to Papua New Guinea for its second mission stop of Pacific Partnership 2015. Pacific Partnership is in its tenth iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
