150623-N-IP531-010 BRISBANE, Australia (June 23, 2015) Sailors from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) clean the engine room of the Royal Australian Navy River-class frigate HMAS Diamantina (K377) during a community service event at the Queensland Maritime Museum. George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, are on patrol in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. George Washington will be relieved by USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) later this year after serving seven years in Yokosuka, Japan as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
