150527-N-ON468-007 PEARL HARBOR (May 27, 2015) The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for a port visit before proceeding to its homeport at San Diego. Carl Vinson completed a nearly 10-month deployment to the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf. Carl Vinson deployed to the U.S. 7th and 5th Fleet areas of operation supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations, and theater security cooperation efforts in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
