150522-N-YM856-169 PUERTO CABEZAS, Nicaragua (May 22, 2015) Dr. Gordy Mcguire, a volunteer from the University of California San Diego Pre-Dental Society, gives a patient dosage instructions at a medical site established at the Instituto Polytecnico Heroes y Martires during Continuing Promise 2015 (CP-15). UCSD PDS volunteers are working alongside other NGOs and joint-military personnel to complete the CP-15 mission. Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
