150424-N-SD120-070 OKINAWA, Japan (April 24, 2015) Utilitiesman 2nd Class Elmer Agonias, a Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, secures the rear of his patrol while the other Seabees carry a simulated injured team member on an improvised stretcher through a deep and narrow trench at Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa. More than 60 Seabees from NMCB-5 attended the week long course taught by Marine instructors. The course is designed to prepare Marines and joint forces for the rigors of combat in a dense jungle environment. NMCB-5 is currently deployed to Japan and several countries in the Pacific area of operations conducting construction operations and humanitarian assistance projects.
