150414-N-DJ750-246 GULF OF OMAN (April 14, 2015) The guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) is underway alongside the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) during a replenishment-at-sea. Bunker Hill is part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group and will soon depart the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility for its homeport of San Diego after supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
