150316-N-DJ750-059 ARABIAN GULF (March 16, 2015) An EA-18G Growler from the Cougars of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 139 launches from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) while underway in formation with the French navy aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (R91). Carl Vinson is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations, and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
