Robert Thomas, commander of U.S. 7th Fleet, congratulates members of the engineering department aboard the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) for their efforts in successfully completing a light off of the ship's boilers. Blue Ridge successfully conducted a light off of its boilers, providing steam to power the steam plant in order to resume patrols in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
