150107-N-DC018-072 JAVA SEA (Jan. 7, 2014) The littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3), with its 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat trailing behind, conducts visual and subsurface searches near the location where the tail of AirAsia Flight QZ8501 was discovered. Fort Worth is currently operating in the vicinity of the tail section and is supporting Indonesian-led efforts to locate the downed aircraft.
