150902-N-PK884-003 YORKTOWN, Va. (Sept. 2, 2015) Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Selectees stationed at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown run around the Yorktown Battlefield as part of CPO 365. During CPO 365 Phase II, heritage is continually drilled and honed, to reinforce to the CPO Selectees just how important it is to learn about our nation's history. CPO Selectees ran around the battlefield, stopping at various points to research and speak to the importance of each phase of the battle of Yorktown and the events that culminated in our victory over the British and secured our independence. They were joined on this run by commanding officers and senior enlisted leaders from the installation and the various tenant commands. (U.S. Navy photo by Mark Piggott/Released)
