161229-N-CL027-205 NORFOLK (Dec. 29, 2016) The guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87) returns to its homeport onboard Naval Station Norfolk. Mason, part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, conducted a 7-month combat deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operations.
