161218-N-BR087-054 PUGET SOUND (Dec. 18, 2016) A Sailor directs a CH-47 Chinook helicopter assigned to the Washington National Guard for takeoff aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) flight deck during deck landing qualifications. Deck landing qualifications allow helicopter pilots to gain proficiency landing onboard ships. John C.
